Well-maintained gardens, scenic views of the volcano, swimming pool access
Why is there no adequate Wi-Fi in the rooms? You can practically hear every clink and chatter from the dining area!!! The outdated room furnishings really need a refresh. It feels more like a budget motel than a four-star hotel!!!

Within 100m from a black sand beach. Within 5min from the village. Spacious room. Great buffet breakfast.
Quite difficult to find as no indication in town. Wifi was not working for Iphone/Ipod Touch.

The views were fine during our evening walks, and the super nice team. It exceeded my expectations after my previous visit, especially how lovely the environment was.

Warm staff, spacious rooms, finely decorated. You feel like being in an "Art Hotel" with all those paintings! Close to the beach and village centre.

The hotel had excellent facilities including a clean pool and the staff were friendly. the location was perfect as it was within walking distance to the town's restaurants and just a short trip to the Volcano hike. Breakfast offered a good selection of food and the rooms were clean.
Nothing noteworthy not to like in this city.

We were transfered to the Hotel Eros due to the renovation of Hotel Garden. We would highly recommend Hotel Eros as it has great location - only 10 meters from the beach, 200 meters from the mud baths and to the city centre.

The hotel's location is ideal, with easy access to a nearby restaurant mentioned in Lonely Planet. Guests can also easily hike to the volcano or walk to the nearby beach. the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and well-presented, with comfortable beds and good storage spaces. the breakfast is amazing, with a diverse selection and plenty of options to choose from. the lush lawns and gardens surrounding the hotel provide a beautiful view.
It seems that some guests had issues with the quality of the dinner menu, which was lacking in both taste and variety.

Breakfast can be called lush in comparison with b&b and 3 star hotels we lived during this trip in Italy. Room decor is quite nice. The public living room looks tasteful. Staffs are very friendly - when my husband returned to get his sunglasses they gave him a free drive on the shuttle bus, so he could catch the ferry.
The rooms are small and do not look like the pictures on the website. The staff gave us wrong information about the mud bath. He told us we could go there anytime but it was closed at 6:30pm, he told us towels are provided at the mud batch but forgot to mention each towel was sold at 2euro. The biggest downside is the location, it is quite far - about 20min walking to the port and the mud bath as well as the center where restaurants and bars are located. But the hotel has a free shuttle bus to transport our luggages to the port, which would make up for the drawback.

The outdoor pool was well-maintained and surrounded by lovely gardens with plenty of sun beds. We enjoyed the fact that free pool towels were available on request. the staff was kind and helpful on all occasions.
The breakfast buffet was quite limited, with some items running out quickly and not being replenished. the rooms were a bit dated and lacked some basic amenities such as a decent size TV and enough drawer space.

Convenient location, just a couple of minutes from the beach and with a great view from the terrace. Nice garden with a small pool to relax in.
Rooms were uncomfortable and basic, with rock hard beds and no storage space. Wi-Fi didn't work in the bedrooms, which was frustrating.

We had an absolutely amazing experience staying at this 4-star hotel. The location couldn't have been better - it was close to a restaurant we had read about in Lonely Planet and just a short distance from the famous black sand beach. The hotel really went above and beyond in terms of service. We were impressed by the staff's friendliness and their willingness to help us with any request we had. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities you could ask for. Plus, the breathtaking view from our balcony overlooking the lush, palm-filled garden was just the icing on the cake. We truly felt like we were in paradise here.
